Mawilite (quest)

The Mawilite quest is the questline done in order to acquire the Mega stone for Mawile—the Mawilite.

Preparations

To make the quest go as smoothly as possible, these preparations should be made:

• A level 100 Mawile with maximum happiness(255). It does not need to be your OT.

Instructional Walkthrough

Looker

To begin the quest, speak with Looker in Valley Of Steel Eastern Peak. Looker will inform you of an ongoing investigation regarding the disappearance of food from the village warehouse. This escalated to food disappearing from the homes of residents and even Pokémon disappearing. He will then ask if you can help, to which you should agree to begin the quest.

He will ask that you go around and ask the villagers for information. At this point, enter Eastern House 2, which is located in the south-eastern corner of the village. Once inside, speak with Granny and she will tell you of an old legend. After agreeing to listen to the story, she tells you the legend of a woman that steals food. Report back to Looker with your findings.

Catching the culprit

Your next objective is in the Western Peak, at the warehouse, during nighttime. You will need to hide in a specific spot and wait for the culprit to leave the warehouse.

After waiting a few seconds, a woman exits the warehouse. You must now follow her without being noticed. This may be a bit tricky since sometimes she moves very fast. Occasionally, she will fall asleep, in which case you must wake her up by speaking to her and then quickly leave before she notices you. She will walk towards the construction site that’s guarded by an officer. As she enters, the officer will move, allowing you to enter.
From there, confront the Mysterious Woman and she will battle you if you have a Mawile in your team.

Following the defeat of the Mysterious Woman, return to Looker in Eastern Peak. Looker reveals that there may have been some truth to the legend of the woman. In one of the houses, a strange stone was found and was given to Looker. Not knowing what to do with it, he passed it over to Byron—the Canalave City Gym Leader—who is a Steel type expert.

Now, you need to find Byron and speak to him regarding the strange stone. Make your way to the cave entrance in Valley of Steel, near Teacher Chelsea and enter it. There, Byron will be waiting. He tells you that the strange stone turned out to be the Mawilite and that you must defeat him before he can hand it over. In this battle, you are only allowed to use a Mawile, but it does not need to be your OT.

After defeating Byron, he will acknowledge that you can control the power of the Mawilite and reward you with it.
