The Volcanion quest is the quest done in order to catch the Mythical Pokémon Volcanion. This quest was first introduced during the 2020 Summer event.
To reach the island, you must speak with the NPC Sailor James on Cinnabar Island; you will be charged 5,000 for the transport. When you first arrive at the village, the first building you see will be the PokéCenter.
Walkthrough
Starting the Quest
Once you arrive on Eriyadu Island speak with Dr. Reinfield. He will ask you to meet him and discuss more at the welcoming center on the island. To get to the welcoming center you will have to surf across the water and then head up the first set of stairs. Once arrived, Dr. Reinfield will then ask you to find him a Red Stone, Blue Pearl, and a Red Banana. Once completed the discussion, the quest has begun.
Red Stone
To get the Red Stone the player must first head north from the welcoming center towards Palpatoo Beak, then westward to Eriyadu Sulfur Pools. Once arrived the player will have to challenge the Mole Marc boss. Once you have defeated the boss, follow the path to the south until you find the Guard Gilbert NPC blocking a cave entrance, speak to him, then proceed into the cave. Inside go up and interact with the pokeball on the stand. The first part of the quest is now complete.
