|Slateport City - Hoenn|
Slateport City is a large Hoenn city located between Route 109 and Route 110. It is also connected to the sea route Route 134, although its strong currents make it only possible to enter the city from the route, not the other way around. Slateport City is first reached by traversing the south-western seas via the Peeko Sailor.
The path to Route 110 will however be initially be blocked by a couple Pokémons; they will only leave after completing the Devon Goods Delivery Quest. Easily missed, it is necessary to return to Rustboro City's Devon Corporation in order to start the quest.
Slateport City's main point of interest is its Market, which assembles many unique vendors and tutors. Outside of the Market, there are many large buildings, however they serve little purpose outside of the story. Particularly, despite being the first town with a Contest Hall, it is closed due to Contests not being a coded feature.
Devon Goods Delivery Quest
Before completing the quest, a Poochyena and a Numel will be blocking the way to the next route. However, easily overlooked, the quest first starts by returning to Mr. Stone in Rustboro City's Devon Corporation building after having delivered the letter to Steven.
Despite that Mr. Stone said the person he wants the Devon Goods delivered to is in the Museum, said building will be completely blocked off. It is first necessary to speak to the gentleman in the Shipyard, the largest building directly east of the Market. Afterward, if the Museum hasn't been unblocked, it means the player hasn't returned to Mr. Stone and started the quest.
The Museum is the building south-east of the Pokémon Center. Upon entering it, grunts of both Team Magma and Team Aqua will be wandering around. With none of them being serious on the job, the next important NPC, Devon, will be waiting on the second floor. Upon talking to him, the Maqua members will ambush the player and it will be necessary to fight the recurring character Jackson. His Pokémons are estimated to be around level 25.
The quest ends after defeating Jackson and speaking against to Devon. The two Pokémons blocking the next route will thus leave, allowing the player to progress to the next locations.
Fences separate the south-west part of the city; this is the Market. In it, there are many vendors, Move Tutors and so on, making it a worthwhile place to visit.
Zen Headbutt Tutor
One of the biregional Move Relearners is stationed next to the southern entrance of the Market.
Any move that the player's Pokémon can learn by level up can be relearned at the price of 2,000 via the Move Relearner, at the condition that the Pokémon satisfies the level condition for the desired move. This is helpful to recover a move that was overwritten or that was never learned for various reasons.
At the north-west stall, the Energy Guru sells vitamins. He offers two ways to purchase his vitamins. The first way is directly in a shop, per unit. He also offers to purchase a pack of 10 for the half-price of 40,000, however each vitamin pack can only be purchased once per two weeks.
Summer Points Redeemer
At the south-east stall, the Summer Points Redeemer does exactly what his name suggests. Using Summer Points, which are obtained from Vulcan Island, a one-per-year event area, it is possible to purchase a large variety of Hats as well as a few items. He remains there all year long, as such Summer Points can be spent even when Vulcan Island is closed.
In the southmost house is located both the Boss Cooldown Checker and the Extra Cooldown Checker.
The Boss Cooldown Checker will state whether or not each individual boss is available to fight or not, and if they are not available, how much time remaining there is before the player can fight them again.
The Extra Cooldown Checker will check the following:
- Battle Tower
- Bug Contest
- Sinnoh Underground
- Transit Pass (How much time remaining if it is active)

All NPCs cool down after 7 days unless noted contrariwise.
