Function
Whenever the possessor sustains Water-type attacks, all potentially inflicted damage is negated and the move will be rendered completely effectless. Additionally, it will also recuperate 1/4th of its maximal amount of HP.
Effects of items that would also provide countereffects from sustaining Water-type attacks, such as the Absorb Bulb, are superseded by Water Absorb, meaning that their otherwise-redundant functions will not execute.
