Team Aqua Hideout is Team Aqua’s hideout, which entrance is located in the north-east of Lilycove City. As the entrance is directly on water, it will be necessary to bring Surf in order to enter the hideout.
The hideout can be entered after completing Magma Hideout. However, unlike the Team Magma equivalent, Team Aqua’s hideout remains accessible after completing it. Most of the trainers can also be rechallenged, including the final Grunt which, when rechallenged, repeats the same story dialog and teleports the player to the Pokemon Center.
Aqua Hideout Quest
Raiding the Aqua Hideout proves to be much more complicated with its teleport puzzle, and it is much easier to get lost.
The first objective, and rather hard to miss, is to defeat Magma Admin Courtney. To reach her is as simple as to take Teleporter 1I. The Grunt blocking the way to the stairs will disappear after defeating Courtney, which only has a Camerupt that is estimated to be level 65.
The next objective is to find and defeat Aqua Admin Shelly in B1F. After going down the stairs in Courtney’s room, the shortest path to Shelly is the following:
- 2C => 2J => 4K => 4E => 4G => 4N => 3C
With Shelly defeated, Aqua Admin Matt will appear in B2F, which will be the final objective. To reach him from Shelly’s room, the shortest path is the following:
- 2K => 3D => 4O => 4H => 4F => 4B => 3F
Although the final objective is to go meet him, only its bodyguard, a regular Magma Grunt, will have to be fought.
After the events, the player will automatically be dropped at the Pokémon Center and Lilycove City‘s path to Route 124 will be unblocked. As the next story destination is underwater, it will be necessary to first head to Mossdeep Town in order to obtain Dive and the necessary badge to use it.
Warp Puzzle
Here is the warp maps. Each Warp is given the following information:
- Identity code. The left code is the identity of the warp point.
- Destination code. The right code is where the warp point teleports to when stepped on.
- No return. If restepping on the destination returns to the same warp point, the arrow will be two-sided and the color will be blue. If it warps to a different warp point, the arrow will be one-sided and the color will be red.
