Sandgem Town

Sandgem Town is a Sinnoh town which intersects Route 201, Route 202 and Route 219. However, until the player has spoken to Professor Rowan in his lab, then to Grandma back in Twinleaf Town, it will not be possible to proceed north to Route 202.

Sandgem Town is a fairly uneventful town. Although it has the Pokemon Lab, this is not where obtains his or her Starter Pokémon, and is only useful for knowing Sinnoh specific statistics.

Professor Rowan’s Lab

When first entering Sandgem Town, the first thing to do will be to speak to Professor Rowan in his lab, which is the north-westmost building. He will suggest to go to the Trainer School in the next town, Jubilife City. However, he’ll also say that the player should head back to Twinleaf Town before and speak to Grandma. Once that is done, it will be possible to proceed to Route 202 toward Jubilife City

After this conversation, he will also evaluate the player’s Pokédex. Particularly, he will tell how many Pokémons of the fourth generation have been seen and captured. He will also tell how much playtime the player has accumulated since starting the Sinnoh region, which is important for certain events.

Spectify (boss)

Spectify is located in the south-westmost house. He will fight the player on the condition that he or she has at least 300 hours of playtime, as well as has completed the Sinnoh Elite Four. See the main article for more information.
