Meteor Falls Route 114
Route 115

Meteor Falls is a Hoenn cave located between Route 114 and Route 115. Only the first room can be accessed at first, as Waterfall is necessary to enter the further rooms. However, after Surf becomes useable, a secret one-way entrance can be accessed from the far north of Route 115, trapping the player in the deeper floors, starting in B1F 1R. Since the trainers of that corner are considerably high level, it is not recommended to enter that secret entrance as soon as possible.

Notable miscellanies

Jackson encounter

The first time entering Meteor Falls, Jackson will be blocking the way. It will be necessary to fight him in order to pass. His team is estimated to be level 25, strangely not really stronger than his previous encounter in Slateport City.

Although it will now be possible to pass through after defeating him, there is nothing story-important beyond this point. On the opposite, this encounter itself is the story-important event, which unlocks the path to Mt. Chimney from Route 112. As such, it is recommended to return back to Route 114 instead of moving ahead if no Rock Smash method has been prepared.

Rachel’s Friends Quest (Michelle)

One of the locations the ninth and last friend of Rachel can be found in is in the far north of Meteor Falls 1F 2R. She will trade the player’s Pokeball for a level 20 Tropius, putting an end to the quest.
