Lake Cave
Forest Pit

Lake Cave is a cave located in the back of Forest Pit. It is a very small, and possibly the smallest cave, but has sufficient interest in visiting it.

On top of being a new location where one of the Generation 6 starters, Froakie, spawn at, it also has the Item Recycler, which allows the player to trade in unneeded surplus of evolution and held items for a randomized item. As it has a chance of giving very valuable items like Master Ball and Choice Band, this makes it worthwile to trade it should the player has amassed over 10 of any of the redeemable items.

Notable miscellanies

Nurse Joy

Nurse Joy is located at the entrance of Lake Cave. She will heal the player’s Pokémons for the price of 1,000.

Item Recycler

The Item Recycler is located in the back room of Lake Cave. He will allow the player to deem in items that the player has too many of, such as Evolution Stones, in exchange for a random item. The items can be given either 1 or 10 at a time, which result in different prizes.

As some of the items are buyable directly from NPC shops, it is possible to purchase items in bulk and try at the randomized reward. The cheapest item is Charcoal, which can be bought at Azalea Town‘s Pokémart at the price of 2,000. This makes the 10-item reward buyable at the price of 20,000.

It is to note that trading 10 Evolution Stones will give a smaller chance at the rarer items than trading in 10 of other types of items.
