Route 48 ↓ |
|
|
Johto Safari Zone is the Johto Safari Zone, located north of Route 48. Its nearest city is Cianwood City, but due to being a distance away, a mini-town has been built in front of the Safari.
There are two different prices for entering the Safari Zone. The Single Use pass costs 5,000, and will allow the player in the Safari for 20 minutes. The 24 Hour pass costs 50,000, however it will allow the player to reenter the Safari as many times as he or she wants to during the next 24 hours. Furthermore, the 24 Hour pass is not limited to the Johto region; buying it also allows entry into the other regional Safari Zones.
Once inside the Johto Safari Zone, it is divided into 5 sections in a cross pattern. The middle section, called the Entrance, does not have any Pokémon to find, however there is a Security Guard at the center that can be spoken to if the player wishes to leave the Safari Zone earlier than the 20 minutes allowed.
On the north of the entrance is the Snow Zone, which will mostly have Ice type Pokémons. South of the entrance is the Wet Zone, which only has Water type Pokémons. East is the Grass and Swamp Zone, with varied typings, however Grass will only be found there. West is the Mountain Zone, which also has varied typings, but also has the exclusivity on Fire type Pokémons.
Notable miscellanies

- 300 Ultra Balls for 270,000 (900 per Ultra Ball)
- 600 Ultra Balls for 500,000 (833 per Ultra Ball)
Entrance Shop
At the entrance of the Safari Zone is located a lady who will sell a few items. However, all but one of her items are more expensive than their normal prices, as such it is not recommended to purchase anything from her.
