Iron Island is a Sinnoh island which can only be accessed by boat from Canalave City. Unlike the region-specific islands of other regions, Iron Island does not have any requirement before being to enter it. As such, it can be entered right before completing Canalave City‘s gym, and although it is optional to visit during the story, it is an excellent place to level up before challenging the gym if the player is running behind in levels.
