Fortree City is a Hoenn City located between Route 119A and Route 120. It is one of the most unique towns, with most buildings being tree houses. However, despite its unique design, the town has little to offer outside of its gym, and will usually be visited to reach nearby routes, being quite a distance away from the previous and next towns.

Fortree Gym
The gym will initially be blocked by an invisible Kecleon. It will be necessary to get the Devon Scope from Route 120 and return to fight it. The Kecleon will be level 35 and, unlike the one in front of Steven, this one can be captured.
The gym layout ressembles a maze within large bushes. There are many one-way paths, some of them not being very visible, and it will be necessary to look around and find a path around these one-way paths to progress. Although there are also one-way paths to make it easier to return, sometimes it won’t be possible to return before fighting a trainer or two.
For the first time in Hoenn, the gym-greeter will not reward to teach any move after defeating Winona.

Winona
Winona boasts a very diversified mono-Flying team. For each of Flying‘s weaknesses, namely Electric, Rock and Ice, she has at least one Pokémon whose secondary typing nullifies the weakness. It is to note, however, that her team will greatly struggle to take a Steel Pokémon down, which also often learn either Eletric or Rock type moves, making them very ideal in this battle.
