Distortion World — Sinnoh |
Overview
|
Distortion World is a story-specific Sinnoh area which is accessed from Spear Pillar. It is where the final battle with Team Galactic happens. Completing this area returns the player to Sendoff Spring.
Distortion World looks like a huge maze, which will have the player circle all around the map before reaching the center where the battles happen. Although very at first glance confusing, most of it is actually a one-way path, and branched paths end very quickly.
There are multiple gaps between ground that are jumpable. Each of those gaps are two tiles wide, and the rule is that the northmost tile is jumpable toward the east, and the southmost tile is jumpable toward the west.
Notable miscellanies
Cyrus
After arriving at the center of Distortion World, Cyrus will fight the player one last time. His Pokémons are estimated to be level 65 and he does not reward any money nor experience.

Giratina
Defeating Cyrus was only the easy part. After Cyrus, it is Giratina who will fight the player. He is estimated to be level 120, as such brute force may not be the answer. Fortunately, he is in his Altered form and his moveset is not as devastating as some of the previous story legendaries, so certain Defensive Pokemons may be able to survive an attack and pull off a status effect. If the player still has the Toxic TM, teaching it to a Sturdy Pokémon such as Geodude will easily do the job. Another popular strategy is to train a Pokémon that can learn Sucker Punch such as Honchkrow and revive it everytime it dies, allowing at least 6 use of the move.
Once Giratina is defeated, the player will teleport out of Distortion World and arrive in the middle of Sendoff Spring.
