Counter

Counter is a Fighting type damage-dealing move.

Functionality

If the opponent used a physical move before the user, Counter deals damage to the opponent equal to double of the damage received. The damage is not affected by type resistances, but Ghost type Pokémons remain immune to Counter unless the user has the Scrappy ability.

Counter will fail if the opponent dealt Special damage or if it didn’t deal any damage. It will also fail if the opponent attacks after the user, such as with Dragon Tail or if the user called Counter through a move like Sleep Talk.

If the opponent used a multi-hit move such as Double Slap, Counter will only deal damage based on the last hit of the multi-hit move.
