Aphrodia Island was the event island for the 2020 Valentine’s Day event. It returned for the 2024 Valentine’s Day event with more areas to explore and the quest to obtain the Salamencite.
You can reach the island by speaking with Sailor Jenny in any of the port cities (Vermilion City, Olivine City, Lilycove City, and Canalave City). When speaking to Sailor Jenny again, she will return the player to the city they originally came from.

After completing Part 1, this quest becomes available. Allowing you to obtain the Salamencite, if you have possession of the Mega Bracelet.

The third installment of the Valentine’s Day quests has been dubbed ‘James’ quest’ by the community.

Fisherman Ross

Fisherman Ross will trade you x1 Heart Scale for every Luvdisc with 90 or more IVs that you show him. They must be newly caught and have your OT.

Delivery Man

The Delivery Man is having trouble delivering love letters to residents in Sinnoh, so he asks for your assistance.
You will need x10 Heart Scales to deliver all the letters.
You can get x1 Heart Scale from Fisherman Ross when you trade a Luvdisc with 90 or more IVs, that is your OT and caught after starting the quest.
Each love letter comes with a clue that he will give you. Each clue refers to a location where you will need to deliver a letter to an NPC.

First Letter.
This poem is referring to Lake Verity.
There will be a farmer NPC in the lower-left area that will take the letter. He will reward you with 10 Pokeballs.

Second Letter.
This poem is referring to Hearthome City.
There will be a female cyclist near the city’s gym. She will reward you with 3 Lum Berries.

Third Letter.
This poem is referring to Solaceon Town.
There will be a lass near the Pokémart. She will reward you with 3 Revival Herb.

Fourth Letter.
This poem is referring to Sendoff Spring.
There will be a clown NPC to the right of the Dazzling Gleam tutor; Rock Climb or an Abseil Rope is required to access this area. He will reward you with 3 Sitrus Berries.

Fifth Letter.
This poem is referring to Eterna Forest.
From the southern entrance, go to the top right and there will be a gentleman NPC. He will reward you with 3 PP Up.

Sixth Letter.
This poem is referring to Mt. Coronet Summit.
There will be a female ranger NPC at the north part of the map. She will reward you with 3 PP Max.

Seventh Letter.
This poem is referring to Floaroma Meadows.
There will be a male ranger NPC in the middle of the north field; you will need to use the entrance from Fuego Ironworks. He will reward you with 3 Hyper Potions.

Eighth Letter.
This poem is referring to Pal Park.
There will be a store clerk NPC in the top left area of the map to the left of the pond. He will reward you with 3 Rare Candy.

Ninth Letter.
This poem is referring to Route 217.
There will be a female skier NPC near the entrance to Route 216; she is between Black Belt Luke and Hiker Nathan. She will reward you with 3 Full Heal.

Tenth Letter.
This pome is referring to Celestic Town.
There will be a Police Officer NPC just north of the Pokémon Center. He will reward you with 3 Max Repels.

Once all the letters have been delivered, return to the Delivery Man and he will give you the final reward.
You will then receive x1 Cupid Bow as thanks for delivering all the letters.

Valentina

Valentina is an NPC located to the south of the Aphrodia Island Pokémon center.
She will trade you a random item from the list below in exchange for 3 Heart Scales.
If you have traded away a Heart Scale to another player, she will not take any Heart Scales from you.
