Diamond Domain Love Island

Love Island is an extra island located in Kanto. It can be accessed from the Love Sailor in Vermilion City. However, going to it requires the player to have the caught data of 120 Generation 1 Pokémon, as well as 38 evolved data in total. It also costs PokémonDollar.png5,000 to travel to Love Island, unless the player has an active Transit Pass.

The Island is a very valuable place to visit. On top of being home to a large ammount of rare Pokémons and being the location to evolve Eevee into Sylveon, it also offers many things to do. The main attraction is certainly the Pink Crystals, which have a high chance of valuable rewards, including a Deep Sea Tooth that is necessary to obtain for entering Sinnoh. There are also Berry Stumps, rewarding Berries that halve the damage taken from a specific type when super-effective. There are many Move Tutors as well as a boss duo.

Finally, although less interesting than its outside part, Love Island has a cave called Diamond Domain, which can be accessed in its north-western part. Crossing the cave leads to an isolated area with a large pink crystal; examining the crystal will take the player to Private Resort, an area full of NPCs based on staff members.

Notable miscellanies

Sylveon evolution

Eevee's evolution into Sylveon is only possible when on Love Island. To do so, all it is necessary to do is to let Eevee gain a level in any battle on the island.

Play Rough tutor

The Move Tutor for Play Rough can be found in the center of the island, next to the sakura tree surrounded by water. She will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of PokémonDollar.png15,000.

Grass Knot tutor

The Move Tutor for Grass Knot can be found in the first black building directly west from the Pokémon Center. She will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of PokémonDollar.png10,000.

Sky Attack tutor

The Move Tutor for Sky Attack can be found in the southwest-most house of the island. He will teach the move to any compatible Pokémon for the price of PokémonDollar.png10,000.

Pink Crystals

There are many Pink Crystals scattered around the island, with 11 of them that can be interracted with. In order to fetch rewards from them, it is necessary to have a Pokemon that knows Rock Smash, as well as that has 220 Happiness or more. Rewards include items and wild Pokémons. Once broken, they take 120 hours, or 5 days, to respawn.

Berry Stumps

There are 7 Berry Stumps scattered around the island, which can be noticed by the glitter emanating from them. Picking them up rewards the player with a random berry from the list below.

Shary & Shaui (boss)

Shary and Shaui are located in the black house west of the large Sakura tree, just past the river that encircles the tree. They can be challenged on the conditions that the player has a full party of 6 level 100 Pokémons, as well as no Ice or Fairy type Pokémons in his or her party. Furthermore, in order to obtain their rewards, it is necessary to defeat both of them without leaving the house. See the main article for more information.
